What's the best way to cover up scars & cuts from self harm?

Any [sensible] suggestions are greatly appreciated. Obviously, I can%26#039;t just wear long sleeves now %26#039;cause Summer%26#039;s coming up. I only have like six or sevenish recent ones (and I%26#039;m not doing it anymore), but a few are pretty deep so...some help would be great!!

:)|||hay luc!!

all i can think of is make-up when you around people...sorry, i can%26#039;t think of anything else. when your alone you should put son vitamin c on it so there won%26#039;t be scaring. it really helps...|||I have to say from Personal experanice, that scars tend to fade and as they fade but foundationion or powder on them but if you have deep ones you need a flesh color band ade, then you should put make-up over it also wearing a bunch of braceletslets over this area helps to cover it as well. you need to put something on them so they will fade and you dont have to cover them for ever. Mederma works great but can be costly,|||Make-up? You%26#039;d have to blend it in well, or else it may draw more attention to it. And if you were going swimming that wouldn%26#039;t work too well. Maybe get Mederma for scars. I%26#039;ve never personally used it, but it%26#039;s worth a shot. Deeper scars like the ones caused by self injury will never go away completely, as you probably know, but fading them will make them a lot less noticeable. Other than that, there%26#039;s not much more you can do.

Good luck! : )

Also, how long did you last do this? Are the scars white-ish? Because after time has done it%26#039;s thing, there%26#039;s not much more you can do. But I guess you didn%26#039;t really ask how to fade the scars, just how to cover them up...so, never mind. haha|||I have no experience in this matter, but make-up might be a logical resource. Cover up is usually relatively pale, and might match the wrist skin color better.

Also, last time I checked, wristbands were still in fashion, and you could use those to cover up. (Such as: http://x.couver.us/images/wristband/urba鈥?/a> )

Glad you%26#039;re not cutting anymore.

Hope this helps. =)|||use cover up.

or you could just wear a lot of bracelets on that hand so nobody would see it.

use scar cream as well if they%26#039;re really that bad.

help with mine.?

I have them too.. But unless you have makeup the same tone as you skin, you might as well leave them.
