Have you ever had glycolic acid peel or microdermabrasion? I m trying to get rid of some acne scars?

I%26#039;ve had both and this is my conclusion: they both are non-invasive (they don%26#039;t hurt, need no downtime nd have almost no side effects), aren%26#039;t as expensive as other non-surgical rejuvenation techniques, but only work on superficial skin imperfections, like acne scars, wrinkles, clogged pores and sun spots.

The glycolic peel uses a chemical exfoliator (an AHA acid - natural fruit acid) to abrade the uppermost layer of skin, while microdermabrasion uses a high-pressure flow of micro crystals that exfoliate a few microns from the surface of the skin.

Before deciding what procedure is best for you, have a talk with your physician, he should be able to advise you according to your expectations and medical history.

Hope this helps and good luck,

Product Description:

There鈥檚 a reason microdermabrasion treatments originated in the dermatologist鈥檚 office. The jagged aluminum crystals it requires can cause microscopic tears in tender skin, if improperly applied. Artistry skin care believes in powerful but gentle beauty. That鈥檚 why the Artistry Microdermabrasion System was developed. This at-home alternative provides professional-grade results and glowing skin. The Microdermabrasion System consists of Artistry Polishing Scrub, MicroExfoliation Cloth, and Skin Refinishing Lotion.

katherineburgess88@yahoo.ca|||Yes I have done both. I got better results from the microdermabrasion. The acid peel was so painful and I would never do it again. It almost ruined my skin. The microdermabrasion must be done with a machine to get the best results. I had real bad scars and they were gone in about 3 treatments. It depends on how deep they are. The deeper they are the more treatments it takes. It cost me $100 per treatment and was worth it. The acid peel cost me $300 and I looked like someone had torched my face. It peeled for weeks and looked awful. I didn%26#039;t think it would ever look normal again.
